Condolences
I am very sad to hear of the passing of Mrs. Merrett. She was always a great friend to our family. One of my first memories is going to her and Mr. Merrett's castle like home in Priddis. Mrs. Merrett would let us jump on the trampoline, something our parents never really allowed my sister and I to do. Her quick smile and incredible laugh made us feel at home, instantly.
I am writing this while sitting at a dining room table she is at least, partially, responsible for. Mom and Mrs. Merrett went antique shopping while Dad, Mr. Merrett and I went fishing off Campbell River. When we got back, Mom fixed Dad a drink and casually mentioned that she had done a little shopping, and not to worry, Darlene also thinks it's a good deal. Indeed it was, because the table, chairs and buffet are still with us and look fabulous in my Toronto home. Mrs. Merrett was an excellent shopping partner for Mom and more importantly, a very great friend.
