Obituary of Dianne Kay Dixon

November 19, 1950 – Weyburn, Saskatchewan

December 17, 2021 - Airdrie, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dianne Dixon (nee Daniels), of Airdrie, AB, on December 17, 2021, at the age of 71.

Dianne was a dedicated homemaker and robust member of her community.  She volunteered numerous times throughout her life when she was physically able to do so and possessed a strength that was contagious to all those she touched in her world.  In her early years, she loved to spend her summer months outdoors camping and dirt bike riding with her family.  Later in life, she became a faithful congregant of the St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Church and dedicated numerous volunteer hours to those in need at the Church.

No matter what challenge Dianne faced, she met it head on, allowing all to see the warrior she was.  She took it upon herself to always support her family and friends during difficult times and remained a pillar of strength.

Her greatest passion in life was her grandchildren.  She loved each one of them immensely and often wherever they were found you would find her also.  She remained feisty up until to the end of her life and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dianne will be lovingly remembered by her son Kevin (Sandra), and daughter Debbie Rempel (Will); six grandchildren, Mark, Austin, Josh, Luke, Jarred and Hailey; and great grandchild Ethan; as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Murray Dixon, as well as both parents Edwin and Eleanor Daniels.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service for immediate family only will be held at this time. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.

In living memory of Dianne Dixon, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Airdrie, 300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, AB T4B 3L8, Telephone: 403-948-1100.
