Obituary of Pamela Eileen Lillywhite

March 11, 1932 - Reigate, County of Surrey, England

January 2, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep sorrow that the family announce the passing of Pamela Lillywhite, beloved wife of David Lillywhite of Calgary, AB on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the age of 89 years.

Pamela dedicated her life to her children and her greatest joy came from playing with her beautiful grandchildren. She cherished each of them dearly.  Pamela emigrated with David from England shortly after they were married in 1958. After a quick stint in Winnipeg, they soon moved to Calgary to be near the mountains and raise their family. Pamela had a beautiful giving nature and selflessly devoted her time to many worthy causes. Some of which include the Girl Guides of Canada, Holy Name Catholic Church, CWL, Birthright, Meals on Wheels, Alberta Ballet, Calgary Ladies Field Hockey Association, and Alberta Women’s Field Hockey Association.  As a coach and a player, Pamela provided many youths of Calgary with an opportunity to participate in a sport she so loved, field hockey. 

Pamela is survived by her husband of 63 years, David Lillywhite; six children, Andrew (Beverly), Mark (Janice), Sarah, Jane (David) Forest, Joanne (Jon) White and James (Erin); and fourteen grandchildren, Matthew, Aisha, Aspen, Brielle, Jacob, Samantha, Nikolas, Emma, Jack, Carter, Nicole, Jane, Sadie and Joshua. Pamela is also survived by her sister Jackie Dempsey of Parksville.
