Obituary of Adara Elizabeth Dezan

September 30, 1996 – Calgary, Alberta

January 5, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our sweet, loveable, adorable Adara Elizabeth Dezan, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the age of 25 years.

Adara was so much to the many who loved her deeply. A wonderful and big-hearted daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, auntie, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Adara's delightfully mischievous laughter was infectious. It rang through our lives bringing joy to each one of us. Her love of music brought with it a love of singing.  Performing Nationally and Internationally with her choir sparked her passion for travel and food (as well as her love for ordering room service).

Adara had a love for cooking and baking. She always tackled a new recipe with delight, whether it be a pie or making ravioli from scratch. Adara loved to figure skate and would happily go down to the rink and glide around with glee. She had a keen eye for decorating and always loved to help decorate the house for any occasion, her favorite being Christmas. She loved to relax and watch a good movie, binge watch a new show, or play one of the many board games she had with her family and friends. She enjoyed the little things in life and will be missed dearly.

Adara is survived by her parents, Larry and Marlene Dezan; sister Heather (Enrique) Dezan-Bustos; brothers Chris Dezan and Colin Robertson (Sami); grandmother Elizabeth Dezan; uncle Ken Dezan, aunt Ginette (Tom) Newlove, uncle Roger (Lori) Dezan, aunt Debra (Alex) Topp, aunt Laura (Bill) Baird, uncle Greg (Carol) Robertson, aunt Angela Doiron, aunt Sharon (Neil) Zelinsky, and uncle Harold (Deanne) Robertson; nephews Peter (Jess) Dezan and Earl Dezan; each of her many cousins, great-nephews, friends; and her dog Duke. Those closest to her are left to cherish her memory.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choosing. In celebration of Adara's life, continue to enjoy the little things in life just as she would have. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
