Obituary of Wendy Jean Cinnamon

Wendy Cinnamon of Cochrane, AB, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the age of 59 years.

Wendy was born in Rocky Mountain House, AB, on December 3, 1962. She graduated from Forest Lawn High School, and was a McDonalds Corporation Team Lead in Cochrane, AB. She was an active member of the Mountain Springs Calvary Chapel in Calgary, and Bow Valley Baptist Church in Cochrane. Wendy enjoyed reading, drawing, sewing, crocheting, hiking, and spending time with her family and grandkids. She was particularly proud of her children, grandchildren, her family, and her faith. Her most memorable vacation was a trip to Disneyworld in 2007 with her kids and extended family members. 

Wendy is survived by her son and son-in-law, Daniel and Kaleb JungKetchell of Victoria, BC; daughters and son-in-law, Alisha and Kevin LeBlanc of Calgary, AB, and Hannah Roberts of Cochrane, AB; four grandchildren, Avery Misfeldt, Ethan LeBlanc, Makaylee LeBlanc, and Violet JungKetchell; and mother Violet Cinnamon of Niagara Falls, ON. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Dawn-Marie Cinnamon of Cochrane, AB; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelly Cinnamon-Bolus and Mike Bolus of Niagara Falls, ON, and Valerie Cinnamon-Byl and Casey Byl of Niagara on the Lake, ON; as well as extended family, Christopher Alger and Amanda Wittenberg, Jade Whitwell, Jared Cinnamon, Zoe Cinnamon, and Max Cinnamon.

Wendy was predeceased by her father Gordon Cinnamon, brother Darcy Cinnamon, paternal grandparents, George and Margaret Cinnamon; and maternal grandparents, Sophie and Ensio Johnson. 

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Cochrane, 369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB), on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Those attending will be asked to provide valid government identification (with name and date of birth) AND confirm one of the following: (A)Provincial vaccine record with QR code (paper or digital); OR (B)negative COVID test (within 72 hours); or (C)valid medical exemption (signed letter); OR (D)under 12 years of age.
