Obituary of Wanda Kozan

KOZAN, Wanda Marie

July 23, 1939 – Glenavon, Saskatchewan

January 12, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Wanda Kozan of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the age of 82 years.

Wanda was born in Glenavon, SK, on July 23, 1939, to Annie and Ted Kusior. The early part of Wanda’s life was spent in Saskatchewan. She later moved to Calgary, AB, in 1969, where she raised her children and spent the rest of her life. After raising her family, with great pride, Wanda rekindled her career as a florist, which she excelled at until her retirement in 2004. Wanda loved to spend time with her friends and family; she was known for her upbeat, positive personality and as someone who would be there for anyone who needed her. She will be remembered and ever loved as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Wanda will be lovingly remembered by her children, Keely Roberts, and Jeff (Monique) Kozan; grandchild Joel Roberts; sisters, Helen Lerach, and Agnes Kusior; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Wanda’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Ms. Kozan’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may also be shared and viewed here.
