Harold Schultz, beloved husband of Cheryl Reinholdt of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the age of 89 years.

Born in Regina, SK on February 7, 1932, the only adopted child of his beloved parents, William (Bill) and Mary Schultz of Bashaw, AB "formerly of Rush Lake, SK".  Bill and Mary received Harold when he was approximately seven months old and he went to Swan Lake Country school near Rush Lake, SK. He skipped two grades and graduated to grade nine at the age of twelve when his formal education stopped. He continued to educate himself throughout his life by studying topics of interest to him and his entrepreneurial mindset. In addition, he became an international businessman and traveled to foreign countries to learn about how to develop and buy products for his business.

The family moved from their drought-stricken farm in Saskatchewan to Bashaw in 1942 where Harold lived until he was seventeen. He then began his adventure away from home, never forgetting his beloved parents. He worked in the oilfields in northern Alberta for some years and changed his career to being a brakeman on the CN Railway out of Mirror, AB. In 1956 at the age of 25, he moved to Calgary where he began his lifelong interest in real estate, he sold and invested in real estate most of his life, owning his first home at age eighteen. Calgary remained his home base, though he travelled much of the world and in later years spent winters in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Panama and Costa Rica.

His penchant for Entrepreneurship lead him to a number of businesses throughout his career, real estate, sales and investment, the medical supply field, oil and natural gas production, environment technology, stock market investing, and to electronic financial processing and the ATM business. He was keenly interested in politics and economics.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Cheryl; children, Murray of Vancouver, BC, Alison of Calgary, AB, and Gail of Laguna Beach and Vancouver; two grandchildren, Devon and Thomas of Vancouver, BC. He is also survived by his birth sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Clifford Walker and their two sons, Nathan and Aaron and their families.

He was predeceased by his dad Bill in 1975 and mom Mary in 1979 and his birth mother Caroline Kruger and his birth brother Patrick Luker.
