Obituary of Theresa Mabberly

Theresa Mabberly of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the age of 91 years.

Theresa was born in Gravelbourg, SK, on October 11, 1930. Theresa attended Thevenet College, The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and the University of Alberta; she graduated and held a High School Diploma, an A.R.T.C. Teacher and Concert Pianist Diploma and an Education Degree. Theresa was employed by Amoco Petroleum, the Calgary Catholic School District and others across Saskatchewan and Quebec. Theresa accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of obtaining the A.R.T.C. Diploma for Teacher and Concert Pianist. Theresa had a passion for music, playing piano, listening to classical music, and cross stitching. Theresa’s most memorable vacation was when she went to New York to see Radio City Music Hall with her sisters, when she was 27. She will be most remembered for being a great Mom and Grandma, her honesty and trustworthiness.

Theresa is survived by her daughter Jeanne Marguerite Campbell of Calgary, AB, two sons, Peter Michael Mabberly, and Marc Robert Mabberly, both of Calgary, AB; and one grandchild, Harrison Michael Campbell of Calgary, AB. Theresa is also survived by her two brothers, John Morin, and Paul Morin; and sister, Rose Marie Morin.

Theresa was predeceased by her mother Leonie Morin, father Noe Morin, grandparents, Artheme Morin and Ezilda Fortin, Arthur Beaugrand dit Champagne and Marie Lemay; three brothers, Frank Morin, Peter Morin, and Jack Morin; and sister Marguerite Morin.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. Those attending will be asked to provide valid government identification (with name and date of birth) AND confirm one of the following: (A)Provincial vaccine record with QR code (paper or digital); OR (B)negative COVID test (within 72 hours); or (C)valid medical exemption (signed letter); OR (D)under 12 years of age.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street & Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB).
