Obituary of Juliette Marie Ezsol

January 16, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Juliette Ezsol of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the age of 92 years.

Juliette was born in Batoche, SK, on July 18, 1929. She lived in Duck Lake, SK, until her big move to Edmonton, AB, in 1956. She married at sixteen years old, had two daughters, and became a single mom by 1951. Julie worked very hard to survive and put food on the table for her girls who, although very poor, were always clean and loved.

By 1962, Julie met her spouse, Geza Ezsol, in Edmonton and in 1969, had another daughter. Four to five years, later she moved to Calgary where Geza pursued a self-employed business. His business thrived and Julie became a retired lady. By this time, she had two grandsons and three granddaughters. Julie was an exceptional mom and grandmother. She had few passions other than her family. She enjoyed sewing on her old Treadle sewing machine, which she has kept to this day. She also loved bingo, and in her later years, the casino. Juliette’s most memorable vacation was her trip to Hawaii, although she did enjoy Las Vegas as well.

Juliette is survived by two daughters, Julie (Chris), and Cecile (Bill); eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren with another great-great-grandson on the way any day now. She is also survived by her sister Marie "Flossie" of New Westminster, B.C; along with many neices and nephews. She was predeceased by eight of her siblings, Diana, Florida, Antoinette, Josephine, Yvonne, Orville, Fred, and Arthur; as well as her daughter Florence Mahe in 2002; and husband of 59 years, Geza, in 2021.

Mom leaves a huge void in our lives and our hearts. We are so grateful to have loved and been loved by her.
