Condolences
To the family of Hilda Moghadam
I wish to extend my sincere sympathy to all the family from all of my family. We all enjoyed Hilda as a great neighbor. In later years Hilda and I enjoyed snowshoeing in the Kananaskis together plus many picnics at Millerville and dinners in Calgary, which included Walter and his sense of humor.
She was a great lady and I missed her a great deal when she moved. Unfortunately I did not see a lot of her as I was busy moving as well.
Sincerely Jean Slemko
Hilda was a most gracious beloved friend who enhanced my life since we first met in Vancouver in 1965. This 'over the back fence' relationship in Kerrisdale blossomed over the years to include husbands Hossein and Wally while weaving ongoing friendships between the Moghadam and Madill clans. Hilda was devoted to husband Hossein, her children and the welfare of her relatives, friends and neighbors. The MacDonald House was recipient of endless fund raising as well as hands-on labor. A legendary cook, Hilda's is remembered for elegant dinners, Christmas cookie platters for the staff at Children's Hospital where Hossein headed the Diagnostic and Treatment Centre, and the most decadent chocolate birthday cakes. Hilda took pride in her appearance and tried to make sure I bought some clothes on our shopping trips. Hiking in the mountains was her happy time. Later in life, we enjoyed Sunday Happy Hour. The Madill family sends deepest sympathy and thanks for sharing your wonderful mother and grandmother to Brian, Ken, Michael and families. Anita Madill
