Obituary of Duminda Lokubandara Nayakaratna

Duminda Nayakaratna, beloved husband of Dammika Bambaragama, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the age of 47 years.

Duminda Nayakaratna was born in Kurunagala, Sri Lanka on September 26th, 1974, and immigrated to Canada in 2002, with his wife Dammika whom he married in 1997.

He was a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Sri Lanka Division) and worked as an Accountant and Bookkeeper. He volunteered with CNIB for multiple years. 

He will be most remembered for his kind heart, and loving personality. Duminda had a passion for music, and he will be remembered in many people’s minds for the joy he brought while performing.

Besides his loving wife Dammika, Duminda is survived by his only daughter Amasha; his mother Manel and sister Ransimala.
