Obituary of Mary Kroon

KROON, Mary (nee Hredil)
February 9, 1954 – Regina, Saskatchewan
April 4, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Mary Kroon beloved wife of Kirby Kroon of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at the age of 68 years.

Mary was born in Regina, SK. She graduated from Miller High School. She enjoyed cross stitch, knitting, sewing, quilting, gardening, and running. She had a passion for travelling, and her most memorable vacations included a trip to Italy with Alexis in 2008, and a trip to London in 2010 at the age of 56. She was particularly proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be most remembered for her smile, strength, grace and hugs.

Besides her loving husband Kirby, Mary is survived by her two daughters, Cassandra (Cass) Lintott of Calgary, AB, and Alexis Kroon of Calgary, AB; three grandchildren, Abigail Lintott (age 12) Lucas Lintott (age 11), and Elizabeth Lintott (age 8) all of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Olga Schmidt (Larry) of Calgary, AB, Sylvia Buhr (Mitch) of Regina, SK, and Brenda Hredil of Calgary, AB; and numerous extended family and friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Andrew Hredil.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Kroon’s service streamed live on the day of the service at www.McInnisandHolloway.com. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may also be shared and viewed there.
