Condolences
I was reminiscing today with my mom about growing up, and we chatted about “Auntie Liz” - the wonderful woman who opened her home to me as a young child. This was in the mid to late 80s, when I was around 3-5 years old. Even though I was so young while she cared for me, I do remember her being so kind. I have a few memories from this early phase of my life.. I’m reminded of one every time I look in the mirror; I have a small scar on my left eyelid. I was walking to the table to eat, and walked behind a high chair. A baby started rocking backwards in the chair, and just as I walked behind, and a screw in the back hit my eyelid. I ended up needing a couple stitches. Reflecting back as an adult, Liz was so kind, she calmed me down, and I believe she took me to the doctor. After searching her name today, we are so sorry to have learned of her passing 2 months ago. Sending sympathy to all her family, friends, and loved ones. Thanks for being a part of my young life, Auntie Liz. ❤️
Very sad to hear of Liz’s passing. My condolences to the family.
Liz was the sister of my dear sister-in-law, Eva Cudmore. What wonderful girls were the three daughters of Elizabeth and Louis Nagy and how pleased we were to call them all our extended family members. Liz was a kind and loving person whose focus was a happy acceptance of whatever life brought her way. Her smile was infectious and constant, her faith in the path of her life, unwavering. She was a positive example to others, a good person and one who will be greatly missed.
Liz will be missed from the neighbourhood. You were always met with a smile and a happy greeting anytime you saw Liz. She loved working in the yard and helping out in any way she could. Blessed to have been her neighbour for so many years.
As neighbours of Liz and Ben for almost 40 years, we are deeply saddened by her death. She was the cheery, smiling, kind and loving neighbour that most folks just get to dream about. She was indeed the bright sunshine in our neighbourhood. And who couldn’t love a woman who loved Elvis! You were a gem and we love you!
