Condolences
My sincere condolences. Majbrit was a beautiful lady. I met Majbrit through the Gilli-Hook Heritage Knitters Guild. She was always willing to help and share her knitting skills. She will surely be missed.
Dear Siggi, Lisette, Robin and Tony,
I grieve with you all at the loss of your dearest mother.
Majbritt was my friend for over 50 years. We met as newcomers to Canada in the late 1960’s, and together we learned to know and love this country.
Over the years our two families shared many events, and almost all special occasions together.
Majbritt and I shared a love of books, conversation, and a good laugh. Our chatty, funny lunch dates will never be forgotten.
My family and me are all better off for having had the friendship of this generous, talented, and charming woman.
How sorely she will be missed.
Irene and Bobby Gordon.
Maj-Britt vi saknar dig. Vi ses i en annan värld. Vila i frid.

To Majbritt's Family~
Your wonderful Mom was such a positive and fun-loving person!!!
We initially met through her incredible generosity.
Majbritt had placed a large, blooming hibiscus plant on her driveway with a sign "FREE" attached to it.
When I rang her doorbell to make sure it was OK to take this fabulous plant - she insisted it go to a loving home.
This amazing double-bloomed, red hibiscus plant has brought me so much joy and continues to thrive.
Your Mom taught me how to make more hibiscus plants from this one ... and I can now share my plant with others.
We became friends, and how I enjoyed surprising your Mom with fresh fruit and vegetables from the Farmer's Market.
Her last words to me were on Oct. 15, 2021, as we were departing for our winter home in Arizona.
Majbritt said she hoped she would be alive when we returned.
Your Mom died 2 days later ... and I'm so sorry I didn't get to say goodbye.
Majbritt will always be remembered by my family as a kind and generous woman.
She was always knitting and shared that she enjoyed making gloves, hats, and scarves for the immigrant families coming to Calgary. What a generous and loving spirit ... and how I will miss your wonderful Mom and Grandma!!!
There is a knitting thought which I enjoy, and which I think Majbritt's family would understand.
"The yarn forms the stitches, the knitting forges the friendships, the craft links the generations."
I was truly glad that knitting forged my friendship with Majbritt. My sincere condolences.
Saknar dig moster Maj-Britt och alla våra stunder med garn och stickning.
Kramar Lotta och resten av familjen Johan, Albin och Alma.
Oma will always be in my thoughts It was unfortunate that Covid prevented our usual family get-togethers, especially our Christmas one. Thanks to All of her family for sharing their mother and grandmother with Kim and me. She will be missed by many. Ron Getty
