Irvin Rabbit of Morley, Alberta passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the age of 75 years.

 

Irvin was born in Morley to the late Nelson and Flora Rabbit. Irvin was one of the founders of the Stoney Minor Hockey Association and he also served on the board of the Central Alberta Minor Hockey. Irvin was a certified Electrician and he worked his whole career with Stoney Nakoda First Nation until his retirement. He also served on the local Elders committee.

 

Irvin is survived by his dear loving wife of fifty-three years, Linda Rabbit; sons, Conrad and Dakona Rabbit; grandchildren, Theuren Holloway (Sheylna Twoyoungmen), Alyssa Holloway, and Tannisha Rabbit; three very special great-grandchildren, Taylen and Keelen Holloway, Caselyne Twoyoungmen; nieces, Adele Rabbit and Vanessa Poucette; brother-in-law Marty Labelle (Linda Ear). He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Harvey Rabbit (Delphine Snow), Leo Poucette and Tilda (Audley) Stephens; and numerous other relatives too many to mention from Morley, Maskwacis, Onion Lake, Paul Band, Eden Valley, and Big Horn.

Irvin was predeceased by Clara Rollinmud, Chuck Rabbit Jr.; brothers, Casey Rabbit, Bobby Rabbit, Willie Rabbit, Danny Rabbit; sisters, Deborah Rabbit, Mildred Rabbit and Connie Poucette; and numerous family members from Paul Band, Maskwacis, Eden Valley, and Big Horn.

 

Wake Services will be held at the Residence of Linda Rabbit (Morley, AB) on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

 

Funeral Services will be held at Residence of Linda Rabbit (Morley, AB) on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bigstoney Cemetery (Morley, AB). COVID protocols are encouraged to be followed.
