Obituary of Brett Leonard Crowchild
November 7, 1985 – Wetaskiwin, Alberta
May 15, 2022 – Tsuut’ina Nation, Alberta
Brett Leonard Crowchild, beloved husband of Trina Crowchild of Tsuut’ina Nation, AB started his journey Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the age of 36.
Brett lived and dedicated his life to his children, Peyton and Raiden Crowchild, his father Warren and his mother Lendell; brothers, Lewis, Bradley, and Kayden; sisters, Shelby and Kristen, paternal grandmother Maria Crowchild; and mother-in-law Josephine (Bunny) Big Plume, father-in-law Mike Cutknife; and by his aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins and extended family from Tsuut’ina and Siksika Nation. Brett Crowchild was loved by so many that are too many to mention but had a special place in his heart for all his Hockey “BBC” brothers and sisters.
Brett was predeceased by his brothers, Richard Crowchild and Lance Dodginghorse; paternal grandfathers, Chief Gordon Crowchild and great-grandfather Chief David Crowchild, paternal great-grandmother Daisy Crowchild, maternal grandfather Leonard Smith, maternal grandmother Emily Red Crow, maternal great-grandparents, Charlie and Amy Smith.
Wake Services will be held at Bullhead Community Hall, Tsuut’ina Nation, AB on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. The Crowchild family wants to invite Brett’s friends to the wake and viewing, to share stories and memories of Brett at the wake services. A private viewing for immediate family will be held after the Funeral Services before the Gravesite Service.
Funeral Services will be held at Bullhead Hall, Tsuut’ina on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. A zoom link will be shared for those who cannot attend. The Graveside Service to follow at Tsuut’ina Cemetery (Tsuut’ina, AB). Family and friends are invited back to Bullhead hall for the feast after the Graveside Service.
