Obituary of Cornelius Evanardus De Bakker

Cornelius De Bakker, beloved husband of Catharina, of Calgary, AB, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the age of 86 years.

Cornelius was born in Den Haag, Netherlands on June 10, 1935, to parents Franciscus De Bakker and Catharina de Vries. He immigrated to Canada in May 1954; and by 1957 he met, fell in love, and got married to Catharina Baaijens.

Over the years, he worked as a tile setter. Cornelius accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of his four children.

Besides his loving wife Catharina, Cornelius is survived by his three daughters, Jane (John), Cathy, Marlene, son Carey (Lori); and five grandchildren, Colin, Elliot, Alexis, Jared, and Megan. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Ivan.
