Obituary of Lorne Alexander Kemp
May 9, 1945 – Woodstock, Ontario
May 22, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta
Lorne Kemp, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the age of 77 years.
Lorne had a kind, and generous spirit which brought him many friends throughout his life. His interests were many and varied including, small aircraft pilot, international firearms referee, luge official, and any crazy scheme his daughter involved him in. He also enjoyed local live music. Lorne was an avid skeet shooter and was a provincial champion several times. He was also a strong advocate for Ducks Unlimited and the Progressive Conservative party of Alberta.
Lorne is survived by his daughter Andrea Kemp (Mark Mallett); sister Elizabeth Sveinson; nephew Svein (Lorianne) Sveinson; niece Jenny Sveinson; as well as grand nieces and nephews Matthew, Aria, Keagan, and Jerika. Lorne was predeceased by his parents Lois and Bernard Kemp.
