Condolences
Dear family, so sorry to hear of Jacks passing. I always enjoyed visiting with him and I'm sure he will be missed. He helped me when my Father passed away years ago and will always remember his kindness. God bless Sincerely Dave Wright
I got to meet Jack in 1960 and we worked together many times over the years. He was a good cop and a great guy. After retirement we remained active socially. I spent many days at his “piece of heaven” property in Millarville as he renovated and re-renovated his mobile home with the fantastic view. He was a slave driver but I was rewarded at the end of the day with burger and beer or steak and wine (homemade of course). He ended every email, greeting card or letter with Peace Brother so I say Peace Brother back to him now. Frank Mitchell.
I have many fond memories of Jack, having joined the Calgary Police Force with him on the same day, August 4th. 1959. We graduated from Recruit Class #11 and remained friends throughout the duration of service and retirement for a total of about 63 years. He had an outgoing personality and his company was always enjoyed, whether ‘ at work or at play.’ Our condolences to the Dardis family for their loss. May they take comfort from the fact that Jack enjoyed a full and eventful life. Doug and Gayle Green
I was fortunate to have worked with certain influential persons during my career and it was my pleasure to work under and learn from Insp. Dardis.
Rest ion Peace.
Retired Detective Bill Angus
I am sad for the passing of this great guy. Jack was my Inspector in Identification before I retired. Without doubt, he was the
most supportive and helpful supervisor I have ever had in my 28 1/2 years in the CPS. He always had your back in whatever
situation presented itself. He was a great person, and Inspector Dardis will always be remembered by me with fondness.
Rest well my friend.
Fred Falkinson (Sgt. Ret'd #1185 ).
I remember Jack as an easy going, very pleasant man and enjoyed being around him. Played golf with him once or twice. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by family and friends. God's blessings and comfort to the family. Todd Allen CPS retired 2001.
