Obituary of Nancy Ann Edwards

Nancy Ann Edwards of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the age of 52 years.
Nancy was born in Calgary, AB on September 13, 1969. Nancy was a sweet, wonderful person who loved life and the people around her. She had a warm smile, laugh and her own sense of style. She loved having adventure in her life from a young age.
Nancy enjoyed the family cabin in Radium and spending time with her son Zach, whom she was overjoyed to find out that she was expecting. She loved more than anything being a mom to Zach. She always made a big deal out of his birthday celebrations, telling him stories and having adventures with him. For more than ten years Nancy lived in California, where Zach was born. She did some modeling, enjoyed music and dance, and had some big dreams.
Nancy went out of her way to help others, particularly those she believed were vulnerable and hurting. She will be remembered for always encouraging a good laugh, helping you see the brighter side of things and her love of family.
We acknowledged and honoured the struggles Nancy faced with her mental illness and addiction. With just an ounce of hope, anyone struggling with addiction or mental illness can get the help they need and beat the nasty disease that took our Nancy too soon. She was always supported with love from family and friends. With faith, we know that Nancy will be smiling down on all of us.
Nancy is survived by her son Zach, her loving mother Lory, brother Fred, sister Debbie, her nephews, niece, as well as several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Nancy was predeceased by her father Alfred and brother Rodney.
Nancy may you forever rest in peace.
Graveside Services will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 - 4 Street N.W.), on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
