It was with great sadness that I learned of Wayne’s passing. We were great childhood friends back in Throne and Veteran and shared many adventures together through Junior High and High School. My heartfelt condolences to Stevianne and family.
It is with great sadness that we offer our condolences to Stevianne, Connie, Dixie, Rick and families on the passing of Wayne.
I knew Wayne nearly my entire life starting back in Veteran. Our respective parents were great friends for many years, sharing commons prairie life experiences of farming and small towns. All of us children from both families shared great times as friends growing up.
I fondly remember Wayne. Ritchie (Rick) and myself attending all the Centennial hockey games together. Wayne generously always drove us to the games and back home, often stopping for pizza at Toms on 26tth Avenue. I spent countless hours at the Homan house where Stevianne and Wayne always made me feel welcome.
Wayne was good man!
So sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. Wayne will be missed by all his family and friends but he will be in our hearts and memories forever.
My sympathies go out to Stevianne and family on the passing of Wayne. Our families go back many years when our parents were farming near Throne, my oldest two brothers Irv and Stuart hanging out with Wayne and my brother Hugh and I hanging out with Ritchie and Carol. Great memories! I think I was a cheerleader in grade 7 in Coronation and Wayne was the great basketball player in Veteran.
Cherish all your memories.

Dear Stephanie, Connie and Family. It was with shock and deep sadness that we heard about Wayne's passing. So many wonderful memories were brought to our minds. Especially Wayne's association with our dear departed husband and Father, Bill. Their love of all sports. Going to Hockey Games and Football Games. The happy times we shared with our young families. Becoming Godparents to our youngest daughter, Janine. These memories we will treasure always. Wayne was a wonderful, kind person with a great sense of humor. He always made you laugh. Rest in peace now, Wayne with all those who have gone before you. Your suffering and pain is no more. All our Sympathy, Blessings of comfort and Prayers of hope are with you Stephanie and family. Wayne will always be with you in your hearts. God Bless you all.
From Connie Fowle and Families (Jim, John, Jennifer and Janine).
Dear friends, Stephanie and her family: We are saddened to learn of your loss. We will always remember Wayne in Coronation, on the golf course, at the card table. We were blessed to be able share wonderful times with your entire family, and Wayne’s character is of particular note. He was charming, chatty, kind, and generous with his hole-by-hole descriptions of his golfing prowess. While appearing somewhat placid at times, he could never camouflage his fierce competitive spirit at the card table. He also permitted us to practise our patience when he skipped out for a short smoke, only to return and frequently beat the pants off us.Sharing time with you and your family brought warmth and laughter, especially when Wayne was up to his playful shenanigans. He will be missed. Cherish your memories and hold him fast to your heart. Kathy and Ron Shigemi
