Condolences
We were so sad to hear the news, We consider Helen and Dick dear friends. We enjoyed their company so much, we met up in Vegas many many times and took cruises together, enjoyed our shopping trips so much and those memories we would cherish forever. We really enjoyed her company but had not seen her since Covid but kept in touch. You will be missed my friend, until we meet again. RIP and our most deepest sympathy to Dick, her children and grandchildren. We will miss you and we love you Helen.

Dear Dick and family,
My dear and loyal friend of almost 70 years has passed to a place of rest, where there is no struggle or pain. But, oh how she will be missed!
She had presence and a vibrant personality. She had strong opinions, but a soft heart. She had intelligence and knowledge of the world, but most of all, she had a strong love for family and friends. She cared deeply about so many and about so much.
Helen and I met in our freshman year in high school, where our love of books and literature drew us together as friends. We did homework on the phone every night, focusing on English Lit and history, which we both loved.
Our families began to know each other and our Slavic heritage helped us to understand each other better.
Helen always had the best books and a long bookshelf over her bed. During occasional sleepovers at her house, we both read till the wee hours, stopping to discuss what we thought of the characters and how we would have liked to have lived in those historic times.
We went into nursing, but at different schools. Helen came to my “ capping”ceremony when no one else thought it was a big deal to attend- just an example of Helen’s heart and kindness , which were ever present, even in her youth.
We kept in touch always and on our birthdays telephone conversations lasted a long time because we covered so many topics,- Politics, naturally, and opinions which Helen was passionate to express. And each of the children’s whereabouts and
lives. Helen was interested in everyone, with a sincere and genuine enthusiasm.
Helen always had the nicest and best purses and shoes and liked to dress to perfection. She was lovely, with such a great smile and easy laughter.
She loved to travel the world, and had and had a curiosity and adventurous spirit.
Our last conversation to say “ goodbye” was a few days before she passed. Typically, she asked about my family and the recent loss we had suffered. Even in her last days she cared about and remembered others. And, she was so, so brave.
“ For without words, in friendship, all thoughts and expectations are born and shared- with joy that is unacclaimed. When you part from your friend, you grieve not, for that which you love most in her will be clearer in her absence”. K Gibran
We embrace your family in this profound loss. May Helen’s love and spirit help keep you strong in your grief.
She will always be remembered.

We always enjoyed Helen's company over dinners, movie nights, Sunday afternoon apple pies and LOTS of coffee. We will miss her happy and positive personality.
"Nothing Gold Can Stay"
by Robert Frost
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour,
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Nothing about this seems real. I miss you mommy
I love you to the moon and back.
Helen was someone you wanted to keep in your life because of the way you felt after being around her. We kept in touch after I went back to working in the hospital and I always looked forward to our long catch up chats over brunch, chatting about everything and anything. I’m going to miss her smile, her kindness, her wisdom and her genuine curiosity about everything and everyone around her. Rest In Peace, Helen. You won’t be forgotten. Sending big love and hugs to the family.

Helen was an inspiration to everyone she met. She became an acquaintance of mine and many fellow co-workers that worked at the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino. I admired her love of travel and stories of the trips and experiences she had.
Always happy and smiling even through the toughest of times. She will be truly missed. My prayers and thoughts go out to the family.
