Obituary of Dale Neil Spicer
February 17, 1955 - Calgary, Alberta

Dale Spicer, beloved husband of Brenda Spicer (nee Brash), of Cochrane, AB, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the age of 67 years after a hard-fought battle with Cancer.
Dale is survived by his loving wife Brenda; his stepdaughter Sara; his children (youngest to oldest), Nick, Chris, Kerrie, and Dion; and his siblings, Darcy, Holly, and David. He was predeceased by his mother Connie, his father Don, and his sister Linda.
The world lost a caring soul, an adventurer, a person who never stopped learning and challenging themselves. We all lost a man with the ability to never give up, and who taught others to do the same with gentle kindness and depth of love. A beautiful person with a special love of travel, music, and sailing, and the ability to teach and inspire others to enjoy them. Dale taught sailing for many years at Ghost Lake on his sailboat “Serendipity” and the number of students receiving their certification under Dale’s instruction are a testimony to this. He loved cooking, baking and took over hosting the family gatherings after his parents were no longer able to.
Dale was born in Calgary and lived in Bearspaw for many years. His work life was dedicated to many things automotive. His retirement plans included bee keeping and raising chickens. Sadly, we must say goodbye.
A Celebration of Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. All are welcome. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
