Obituary of Karen Kathleen Green

April 20, 1954 – June 5, 2022

Calgary, Alberta 

With heavy hearts, the family of Karen Green announces the passing of their beloved spouse, mother, sister, grandmother and cousin on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 68 years of age.

Karen will forever be remembered and cherished by her spouse Kory; children, Jolene and Josh (Stephanie), brother Trevor (Brenda); as well as her five grandchildren, Andrew, Mathew, Jacob, Joseph, and Zachary; cousins, Lizzie (Ernie), Shelly (Dwayne), Allen, Lorraine; along with countless other family and friends. Karen was predeceased by her mother and father, Grace, and William (Bill) Green.

Karen will always be remembered for her fierce love and loyalty to her tribe of people.  She was a strong, loving, independent and intelligent woman.  A successful business owner, she loved her friends and family dearly. She enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling, and dining out with good company. In her words, she was a ‘foodie’ at heart, she loved cooking, and most of all, enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

We will be having two separate Celebrations on two different dates: A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held at the Glenmore Inn (1000 Glenmore Ct SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.  another Celebration of her life will be held at the Eckville Legion (5027 51 Ave, Eckville, AB) on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. please RSVP to jdancey25@gmail.com to which (or both) event(s) you’ll be attending.
