Obituary of Kersto Atak Agout

July 9, 1994- Khartoum, Sudan

June 8, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Kersto Agout, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the age of 27 years.

Kersto was born in Khartoum, Sudan on July 9, 1994. He came to St. John's, Newfoundland in 2003 and later moved to Calgary in 2005.

Kersto attended MacPherson Elementary in St. John’s, and then when he moved to Calgary, he continued elementary at St. Rupert. For his junior high years, he attended St. Rose Junior High, and then finished junior high at Father Scollen. Finally reaching high school, Kersto graduated from Bishop McNally High School and moved back to Newfoundland to continue his studies at St. John's University. Kersto also attended an I.T. program at Alison College in Calgary.

He was a member of the Boys & Girls Club and volunteered with St. Thomas More Church.

Kersto accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his Rap career; he brought everyone together and did it so effortlessly. Kersto used music to express himself in ways nobody else could. He started recording music in junior high and was known for his freestyles and songwriting.

Kersto enjoyed memorable family moments, he always collected all of them and was ready to bring them back up out of nowhere. He taught most to love one another and to be unselfish. He loved everyone and brought anyone in as if they were related. Kersto will be most remembered for his loving and caring heart.

Kersto is survived by his four brothers and one sister, Lual, Bol, Agout, Kon, and Arach in Calgary, AB.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Thomas More Parish (15 Templebow Road N.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens (1515 100th Street S.E., Calgary, AB). 

In living memory of Kersto Agout, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, AB T2A 3V9, Telephone: 403-248-8585.
