Condolences
To the extended Hagel family and all Sister Vicki's friends, I extend my sincere condolences. I first met Sister Vicki as a choir leader at St. Mary's, where she was heavily involved in parish ministry. She was a tireless, enthusiastic leader with a warm and caring manner. One always came away from a conversation with Sister Vicki feeling better about the world. I like to think that she has moved on to reunite with her brothers and sisters who went before her and to sing with the heavenly choir.
Warmly,
Sue Masterman
To the family and Community members of Sr. Vicki, she was such a loving influence in my life. Sr. Vicki blessed God in and on behalf of all things. She constantly praised God for His creation. Her joy was infectious! She found mystical meaning in all the finite things of this world…the fields of canola, the mountains, the bunnies outside her window…Through her joyful worship of God, often through music and song, she taught me, and so many others, to give thanks to God for the grandeur and beauty of this world and for every circumstance of our lives. I, and so many, will miss her dearly, but I give thanks to God for the gift of her life. She is rejoicing forever with her beloved Jesus, the Blessed Mother, and her family and loved ones who have gone before her.
My thoughts and prayers to all of Sister Vicki's family and friends. Sister Vicki touched so many lives in such a positive way. I got to know her at Meadow Ridge Seniors Village in Medicine Hat.. where her brother Tony was one of our original residents. So many celebrations.. Christmas, Easter, and Holy Mass... where Sister Vicki and Sister Clem brought so much joy with their music and devotion to God. Rest in peace sweet lady. I will always remember your kindness and happy disposition.
Our condolences to the family & many friends of sister Vicki. She touched so many lives and influenced everyone she interacted with. Like no other, sister Vicki was a master at spreading joy through song and conversation. Your faithful service is complete, rest peacefully as your memory remains eternal.
To the family and friends of Sister Vicki, especially Sister Clem: Condolences on this death. I was not aware that Sister Vicki was in Calgary and in poor health. I will always remember her smile and her engaged, loving personality. She was/is one of God’s jewels, a pearl of great price. She is resting in the loving arms of Jesus and the Holy Spirit is here to comfort those of us left to mourn.
I have such fond memories of Sr Vicki caroling around our area at Christmas and Sing songs at Kim and Pat's . Before she moved to Calgary she would often stop by for a short visit and shared pray time . She will be missed by all who knew her but am glad that she will continue to sing in the heavenly choir.
love and peace

To the Hagel Clan
Sister Vicky taught me the meaning of humility, service and commitment before I even knew what those things were. Her patience and faith were evedent in all she done. I have thought of her often over the years which i cant say about any other teacher. The world will be a little bit sadder without her.
Dear Fran & Family,
I was touched to hear that Sister Ellen had passed away. I never realized that you and Marie were her actual biological sisters. I would like to thank you for her love and kindness towards us in the neighbourhood. She was much loved and missed by us when she and Emma moved to Calgary.
I am sure the Lord has a special place for her amongst the angels who play the harp and sing as our first memories are of her and music and her walking the neighbourhood checking on Adam and saying hello to everyone. Big hugs to all of her family from both of us. While we have lost a truly unique and special person, God has added a new angel to heaven where she will continue to be appreciated for her talents.
