Obituary of Betty Ann Williams

Betty Ann “Rusty” Williams of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the age of 86 years.

 

Betty was born on August 26, 1935, on a rural homestead in Saskatchewan where she lived and played with her older brothers Davy and Ivor before moving to Ontario as children. After time in Ontario, she joined the Air Force where she earned her nickname "Rusty" for her red hair.  The Air Force brought her to Calgary where she settled in. As a long-time employee at Grand and Toy, she retired to spend time tending to her garden.

 

Rusty lives on in the memories of her nieces Susan (Bruce) and Nancy (Stan); as well as her great-nephews Gareth (Renee), Morgan, Colin, and Darcy in Ontario. She will also be remembered by her dear friend and caregiver Candace as well as many friends and neighbours.
