Obituary of Zebe Szewczyk

January 30, 1960 – Bielawa, Poland

June 14, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Zebe Szewczyk, beloved husband of Ewa (Eva) Szewczyk (nee Krzyczmonik), of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the age of 62 years.

Zebe was born in Bielawa, Poland, on January 30, 1960. He emigrated from Poland in 1988 and immigrated to Canada in 1990. Zebe married Eva in 1991 and they moved to Calgary, AB in 1992.

Zebe accomplished much through his life and successfully ran a construction business for over 25 years.

Zebe loved the outdoors and had a large passion for motorsport – particularly rally, having competed for many years and having won numerous regional, national, and a North American title.

Besides his loving wife Eva Szewczyk, Zebe is survived by his son Michael and daughter Caroline. Zebe is also survived by his brother-in-law Andrzej, sister-in-law Grazyna, cousins, nephews and nieces in Poland, and friends in Canada, the United States of America, and Poland. Zebe was predeceased by his parents and in-laws.

As per Zebe’s wishes, the services will be a private, family gathering on Wednesday, June 22^nd, 2022 at 2:30p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Szewczyk’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
