Obituary of Ethan Andrew Halford

March 8, 2001 – St. Albert, Alberta

June 17, 2022 – Trochu, Alberta

Ethan Andrew Halford of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the age of 21 years.

Ethan was born in St. Albert, AB on March 8, 2001 and moved to Calgary, AB in 2005. Ethan graduated from EP Scarlett High School and was attending the University of Saskatchewan, studying his third year of Civil Engineering. He spent the last three summers working on civil construction projects for EllisDon which was the start of a promising career.

Ethan was a natural athlete and was passionate about wakesurfing, golf, skiing, rock climbing, skateboarding and bowling. He was always curious about how things worked and was keen to learn new activities. Mostly, Ethan was passionate about the love of his life Macy. They loved going on adventures together.

Ethan accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of beating his dad and grandma at family games. He competed at the highest level of amateur wakesurfing and made friends all over the world doing it.

As a young boy, Ethan loved the family ski trips, playing baseball and umpiring with his dad. Summer camping trips were full of fishing and tubing. He made summer trips to Grandma and Grandpa’s to ride his bike and bake bread. Ethan grew up spending countless days at the lake, where he had all kind of adventures as a kid, playing man-tracker, riding motor bikes and causing havoc in the mud.

He will be most remembered for his caring personality, calm demeanour, quick wit, and inspiring athleticism.

Ethan is survived by his parents Craig & Susan Halford of Calgary, AB. Sister Brittany Campbell of Sparwood, BC. Grandmother Louise Halford of New Westminster, BC. Grandparents Brenda Campbell & Mike Graham of Sedgewick, AB. Grandfather Rick Knight of Lloydminster, AB. Ethan was predeceased by his Grandfather Andy Halford of New Westminster, BC.
