Obituary of Kevin Dale Richardson

July 8, 2022 – Airdrie, Alberta
Kevin Richardson of Airdrie, AB, passed away surrounded by his three girls, smothered in love, peacefully at home on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the age of 50 years.
Kevin was born October 24, 1971, in Calgary, AB, to Bob and Laurie Richardson. He lived his life in Calgary and then moved to Airdrie in 2006. Kevin was a licensed automotive technician and a Millwright. He worked for Airdrie Chrysler and finished his career at Propak Systems where he was employed for 18 years.
Kevin and Ronalynn McCarter began their love story in the year 2000 and were married on April 19, 2008. Kevin was an amazing husband and the best dad to his two beautiful daughters, Skylar and Hannah. Kev, Ron and his girls enjoyed weekends away in Bergen, AB, and it became “The Place” to be. Kevin lived for big campfires, cracking a beer, and teaching his girls his way of camping. Kevin loved playing poker with his buddies and taught his girls how to play a wicked hand. Kevin's death will easily be remembered as the year his favourite hockey team, the Colorado Avalanche, won the Stanley Cup.
His knowledge, wit, off-the-wall sense of humour and epic one-liners will forever be missed by Ron and his girls. Kev laughed inappropriately at every chance, learned what he wanted to learn, fixed what he wanted to fix, and loved everyone around him.
Kevin was diagnosed with MS in 2013. The days where every step was a struggle are finally a distant memory for Kev. Ron, Skylar, Hannah, and his family and friends take comfort in knowing he is finally able to be at peace.
Kevin will always be loved, always be remembered, and will forever be celebrated. He was one of a kind, and how lucky are we to have known and loved such a great guy. The family would like to thank everyone who fought alongside Kevin. He appreciated everyone who loved and showed up for him.
A Funeral Service will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
