Condolences
Arleen : What can I say.. How many yard sales did you and Bonnie go to while Zeke and I were spraying golf balls all over a golf course somewhere in Canada . I figure we played around 70 different ones, We were lousy at all of them , but a beer and a rum after the game made it all better. After retirement, you were so kind to call Bonnie on a regular basis, and if Zeke and I were available and not in a grumpy mood, we would chat for an hour solving all political problems in Canada . We could never figure out why none of them listened . It had to be close to 10 years since I saw you , it was a nice feeling when we met in June , we started where we left off , one laugh after another. A true friend, both of you. It warmed my heart to watch Zeke tease Bonnie , it brought a smile to her and I . Bonnie and I will be with you tomorrow. John
Dear Arleen and family:
Vic was a great man and he truly loved his family. His sense of humour was to be admired. He will be missed by everyone who who knew him.
Bill and I have many good memories of Vic and the fun times we had. One of our favourite memories is when we went to visit you both in Penticton. Sometimes your orchard was overrun with marmots and Vic was always trying things to eliminate them. During our visit Bill and I sneaked outside and we placed a fake marmot into a hole over by the little brown house. It’s head and shoulders were just poking out. It looked very real. When Vic finally noticed he went into action immediately. He grabbed his weapon of choice and he muttered “I’M GONNA GET THOSE BLANKETY, BLANK CRITTERS ONCE AND FOR ALL”. He stopped short a few feet away from the marmot when he realized it wasn’t real. More BLANKETY, BLANK words.....We said, “GOTTCHA”. We laughed so hard.
Our memories of Vici will never fade
Thinking of you with love, we will always be there for you,
Wilma and Bill
