Obituary of Jacquie Tummers

March 21, 1965 - Toronto, Ontario

July 19, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Jacquie Tummers passed away peacefully, at home, with family on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the age of 57 years.

She lived a wonderful inter-dependent life with all of us. She adopted, fostered, and cared for us. She accepted what we could offer her. We all needed her in our lives.

She was, and still is a symbol of strength and determination. She openly shared her more than 30-year journey with a variety of cancers. Through every part of her journey, she looked beautiful, and acted with care and compassion.

Her 1st Celebration of Life was held in Valens, Ontario on August 1, where she started her life as a simple, fun-loving, farm girl. It was held in the same building she went to Grade 1 and had her wedding dinner. In life, she celebrated her birthday for more than a week. Thus, her circle of life is not confined to a single day or place.

Jacquie's 2nd Celebration of Life will be held in Calgary on Friday, November 4, 2022. It will be a drop-in between 4:00 - 7:00 pm at our local Lions Club Hall, where our family has marked other events in our lives (25240 Nagway Rd., Calgary, AB). Coffee, Tea, Snacks, Photos, Memories, and Conversation will all be there.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, daughter, son, mother, father, sister, and brother. Richard, Megan, Logan, Gladys, Nic, Kim, and Geoff will miss her daily. She improved the lives of countless other relatives, friends, and animals. She knows you'll miss her too.

In living memory of Jacqueline Tummers, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes.
