Condolences
I am so so sorry to hear about Wolf's passing. I worked with Wolf in the summer of 2012 and just happened to think of him today and if I could get in touch with him somehow. Wolf was an amazing colleague and friend, and I remember our time spent working in Northern Alberta so so fondly. He treated me with such kindness and made those long drives entertaining (even if realistically I slept and snored through around 70% of them!).
I send my most heartfelt condolences to the family, Wolfie was one-of-a-kind and will be missed so much.
Jace I am so sorry to learn of your father's passing. No doubt he and Marv have celebrated a great reunion. The two of them had a great visit together last August along with Al and Tim. Their last reunion.........
Wolf was the most positive person I have ever met. No matter the story or situation, he could always find the humour when sharing it. He was truly the gentle giant.
No doubt you have two very mournful dogs as they have lost their best friend also.
sending you much healing love,
Carrie Anne
I feel very fortunate that I had the opportunity to reconnect with Wolf after so many years. We went to junior and senior high school together. Wolf, my husband Tony, and several other friends celebrated their birthdays together at the infamous ‘Dirty 30’s’ party.
It was wonderful being able to meet for coffee more than thirty years later and talk about the good old days. Wolf was indeed a very kind and gentle soul, and he had such a great outlook on life. Sending hugs to Jace. Your dad will be greatly missed.
I have fond memories of Wolf while he and I worked at Indian Oil and Gas Canada for many years. My condolences go out to you Jace and the family. Rest in peace my friend.

I worked with Wolfie at Indian Oil & Gas also and he was my very first boss out of University! He was not only an excellent and patient boss and mentor, he was the kindest and funniest person. Wolfie was the ultimate early-bird and would swim every morning at the Delta Hotel at some crazy early hour before coming to work at the Harry Hayes Building across the street.
As for doing anything to help anyone, a very funny story is that when I moved out of my first apartment, I was of course cleaning at the last minute and sprayed the oven full of oven cleaner, not realizing it was a self-cleaning oven! Black smoke started billowing out of the oven and I thought I was going to burn down my entire apartment building! I called Wolfie in a panic asking him what to do and he came right over and literally helped me put the fire out. I still laugh about that to this day.
I am pretty sure Wolfie was the happiest person I have literally ever known. When you asked him how he was, he 100% always said "Just Peachy".
I am so sad to hear that such a wonderful person is now gone. I will remember Wolfie forever.

We had not seen Wolf for several weeks at the Second Cup and wondered what was going on. One of the patrons did some sleuthing and discovered he was gravely ill. And then, we learned the sad news of his passing away.
The obituary confirmed what I sensed through those brief early morning exchanges “Wolf was a rare individual, and an extremely kind human being. He would go out of his way to help just about anyone in need and dedicated his life to bettering the lives of those around him.”
I will miss his friendly and pleasant presence.

I have so many memories of Wolf having worked with him for 20 years at IOGC (we started on the same day) and been friends for almost 40 years. Wolf was such a kind person and he was always smiling and laughing. He made the world a better place. He loved pratical jokes and was always game for a bit of mischief. He was also the wise go to person with all problems. I can hear him now saying "Don't worry about it if you can't control it". It's hard to pick favorite memories but I smile when I think of our boss Wally telling us that we couldn't GATHER anymore, which meant we were not all suppose to go together for coffee. But we did anyway because listening to Wolf and Dan, the comedy team extrodinare, was not anything we were going to miss. I will always remember Wolf at my wedding at the Banff Springs in June of 1988. Such a wonderful friend. He will be missed.
I worked with “Wolfie” at Indian Oil and Gas for 15 years. There are so many stories! Overall, he was ALWAYS aware of any office news and part of any possible practical joke! Despite that, a more caring and conscientious character could not be found.
I am so glad that my husband, Rick, and I were able to meet with him for lunch this past April. We could tell he wasn’t very comfortable physically, but his spirits were fine.
He will be much missed by family and friends. Heartfelt blessings to all.

A few years back, Wolf had a few wooden chairs he said I could have. I told him I didn't have a car to fetch them, so he offered to drop them off. A few days later at some ungodly hour of, maybe five or six a.m., my dog and I awoke to a bit of a clatter on my deck. By the time we went out, he was gone but the chairs were left behind. A few years back, a coworker really needed a hand and even though Wolf didn't know this woman and owed her nothing he was happy to help. Good guy, for sure. Sad to hear he is gone. NM
