Obituary of Harry Ronald Vermeulen

Harry Vermeulen passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 73 years.

 

Harry was born in Winnipeg, MB, on January 6, 1949, and lived there the majority of his life. He moved to Calgary, AB, after the passing of his wife in order to be closer to family. He enjoyed a successful career with GardaWorld at Great West Life. He retired in 2009, with his last day being celebrated by a wonderful party hosted by Great West Life. Harry’s retirement days consisted of socializing, travel, volunteering, puzzles, and computer games. Harry married the love of his life Jan in the Spring of 1994. The following eighteen years were the happiest times of his life. Sadly, Jan passed away in 2012, but she remained the love of Harry’s life till his last breath.

 

Harry is survived by his loving brother David (Diane), and his oldest brother Joe (Kathy). He also leaves to mourn his memory a large family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Mavis, and Cornelis of Winnipeg, MB.
