Obituary of Jill Deane Dolyniuk

February 10, 1968 – Portage La Prairie, Manitoba

July 31, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Jill Deane Dolyniuk on Sunday, July 31, 2022.  Jill passed away at home in Calgary, AB, under the care of her family.

Jill will be sadly missed by her husband Darren Dolyniuk, and daughters Jamie Vander Linden (Jared) and Kati Dolyniuk (Matt); her mother Gwendolyne Lafreniere (Maurice), and sister Carrie Hiebert (Harold), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Jill was predeceased by her father, Wallace Hiebert.

Jill was born February 10, 1968, in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, where she spent most of her life before moving to Alberta. During her time in Alberta, she lived in Sylvan Lake, Fort McMurray, and Calgary. Jill enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and competing in track and field. She had a love for music, dance, and fashion. She poured her heart and soul into her immediate family and taught them to never give up on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 4th quarter.

A Celebration of Jill’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.  In celebration of Jill’s colorful and vibrant life, any attendees are invited to wear clothing that represents Jill’s personality and style.  Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Jill's service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
