September 6, 1961 – Calgary, Alberta

August 2, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Steven Shaddick, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the age of 60 years.

Steven was born in Calgary, AB, in the Grace Maternity Hospital on September 6, 1961.  Steven graduated from St. Mary's Community School in 1979. He was employed in Advanced Industries.

Steven accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of marrying his soulmate, Katherine, in the summer of 1986. He had great passion and love for Katherine, and they both loved to garden and spend time together.

Steven enjoyed gardening, bowling, movies, and watching TV. Steven’s most memorable vacations was their honeymoon in Barbados, in 1986 and again in 1990.

He will be most remembered for challenging us all to look for the best in a person and to celebrate little successes without complaining too much about our voyage through life.

Steven is survived by his mother, Lydia Marie Shaddick (nee Grant), two brothers, Martin Earl Grant (Jacqueline Victoria nee Ridley) of Parksville, B.C., and Daniel “John” Grant (Grace Elizabeth nee Wipf); and their son Ozzy all of Calgary, stepmother, Helen Shaddick (nee Nagy) of Calgary and sister-in-law, Valerie Shaddick (nee Hypolite) and her daughter Crystal both of Quebec. Steven was predeceased by his beloved wife, Katherine Margaret Shaddick (nee Lee), his father, Daniel William Royle Shaddick, and brother, Christopher Sidney Grant Shaddick
