Obituary of Linda Charlene Cormier

Linda Cormier of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the age of 74 years.
Linda was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 4, 1948. She had a lifelong career in hairdressing and later in life she enjoyed greeting and serving customers at a hotdog delicatessen on the weekends at the Crossroads Market.
Linda accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her granddaughters, Kaylee and Emma.
Linda enjoyed travelling and was always up for a new adventure. She had a passion for walking, reading and she loved ice cream and cookies.
She had many memorable family vacations, including San Francisco with her children Travis and Kathryn, and an unforgettable family vacation in Hawaii that included her daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
She will be most remembered for her infectious laugh and love of family.
Linda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Chantal Cormier of Calgary, AB, daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Ryan Forbes of High River, AB; and two granddaughters, Kaylee Cormier and Emma Forbes.
Linda is also survived by her two brothers and three sisters-in-law Lloyd Keating and Joanne Nickiford of Calgary, AB and Lindsay and Toni Keating of Sorrento, BC, and Sandy Keating of Ontario, sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Murray Jones of Winnipeg, MB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Linda was predeceased by her mother Katherine Keating, and brother Larry Keating.
A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
