Obituary of Angus David Blanchard

November 16, 1930 – Mattis Point, Newfoundland & Labrador

August 14, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Angus Blanchard of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at the age of 91 years.

 

Angus was born in Mattis Point, NL, on November 16, 1930. Angus married Madonna Bennett in 1962 and together they moved to Fort McMurray in 1984, settling their family in Calgary in 1988.

 

Angus loved being around family and playing music with his sons. He enjoyed Newfie jigg's dinners, Newfoundland music, and he loved to dance. Angus was a sociable man who generally loved life.

 

Angus is survived by his ten children and their families: four daughters, Maxine, Elaine, Georgina, and Rhona; six sons, Maxwell, Patrick, Johnny, Jethro, Raymond, and Clayton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Angus was predeceased by his spouse Madonna, and his two daughters, Beverly Ann, and Evelyn.

 

The family will be having a private service in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador, where they will lay both parents to rest.

 

If friends and family so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to a charity of your choice in support of Cancer or Dementia research and family outreach.
