The family of Tina Quigley (nee Kelly) is saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at the age of 75 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years Tony Quigley; children, Cindy Quigley and her partner, Paula Bernat of Calgary, AB; Eric Quigley and his partner, Wendy Miller of Edmonton, AB; siblings, Madeline Ward from Sussex, New Brunswick; Terry Kelly and his wife, Karlene Kelly of Gander, Newfoundland; Jenny Dyall and her husband Dave Dyall from St. John's, Newfoundland, Jerry Kelly and his partner Bridie Heffernan of Cull's Harbour, Newfoundland; and all the Quigley’s; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Dorothy Kelly (nee Maher) and Michael Kelly, brothers Herb, Harold, and Jimmy Kelly, and sisters Liz McGinley, and Marie Patten.

Tina was born on Burnt Island, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland on October 7, 1946. She graduated from Glovertown Regional High School. Later in life at the age of 57, she graduated from Keyin College with a diploma in Business Administration. This took a lot of determination and perseverance and was one of her proudest moments. This was the first thing she had truly ever done for herself as she was a kind, caring, and selfless person.

Tina married Tony Quigley in 1967. She worked for the Bank of Montreal for most of her career as a loans officer, then worked with her husband in the school photography business. He was a professional photographer, so he travelled around the province of Newfoundland. Tina was his right-hand person taking care of all the administrative duties, finances, two children, and the household while Tony was on the road. His success was due to her unwavering commitment to him, their family and business.

Tina was an excellent cook that loved cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining and went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome. There was always something on the stove or in the oven for anyone that might drop by. Everyone was welcome whether it was for a chat, a cup of tea or a bite to eat. Tina loved children and animals taking any chance she got to show them some affection. She enjoyed gardening and had quite the green thumb. She took pride in the vegetables and many flowers that she grew. She also enjoyed golf and would play in the ladies’ league in Gander, NL and in Surprise, AZ. Tina loved to travel and see the world. Many of Tina’s most enjoyable vacations were with family and she especially enjoyed the many cruises she took with Tony over the years. One of her most memorable vacations, a cruise to the Caribbean, was with Tony, her sister Mad and brother in-law Clarence where they had many laughs and lots of fun.

Tina will be most remembered for her kindness and selflessness for her family and friends. She was always there to listen and comfort others. Laughing, telling stories of her life and remembering the good old days on Burnt Island were her favorite past times.

Tina’s family would like to thank Dr. Michelle Grinman and the emergency room team at Rocky View Hospital, Calgary for their kindness, support, and care.
