Obituary of Eva Chapdelaine

Eva Chapdelaine, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at the age of 67 years.

Eva was born in St. Paul, AB, on August 26, 1954. She permanently moved to Edmonton in 1989 and spent her final year in Calgary. Eva graduated from the St. Paul Regional High School and Grant MacEwan College with a degree in Nursing.

Eva accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her academic achievements, including the Louise McKinney Scholarship for exceptional academic achievement and paying off her Capilano house in seven years!

Eva enjoyed good food, causing mischief, games, and laughter. She will be most remembered for her tenacity and impish sense of humour

Eva is survived by her two daughters and one son-in-law, Tanya and Christopher Ries of Calgary, and Charmaine Tkachyk, St. Paul. She is also survived by her two brothers, Bob Chapdelaine (Liz) of Grand Bend, ON and Yvon (Helen) Chapdelaine of St.Paul AB; four sisters, Jeanette Newton  of Calgary, Gloria (Bill) Hall  of St. Paul, Julie Chapdelaine and Leslie Churchill  of Calgary, and Estelle Chapdelaine  of St. Paul; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Eva was predeceased by her parents Leona and Arthur Chapdelaine; sisters, Antoinette Magyar-Stokes, Claire Chapdelaine, Susan Scharer (Peter Scharer), brother Henry Chapdelaine, and her son Mark Tkachyk.
