Obituary of Holly Gudrun Davidson
December 22, 1954 - August 16, 2022
Holly Davidson of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Holly graduated from the University of Calgary with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, followed by a diploma in Nursing. She was compassionate and dedicated. For most of her thirty-year career, Holly worked on the medical palliative care unit at the Rockyview Hospital. She nurtured everything she loved, her parents, her sisters, her family, her cat JuJu, and her gardens. This love was reflected in her extraordinary textile creations.
Holly will be forever loved and missed by her sister, Vanessa; brother-in-law, Cameron Shouldice; nephews, Nathan (Jill Christensen) and their children, Stella, and Henry; Kristoffer (Nora Wahlund); and Devon Jon; and niece, Kelsey (William Staples). She was predeceased by her parents, Gudrun (Johnson) and Scott, and her sister, Heather (Larry Futrelle). She is aunt to Scott Futrelle (Yuko) and their children, Eric and Heather, and Brian Futrelle.
A Gathering to Celebrate Holly’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
