Condolences
A year and half late ....This has to be one of the nicest recollections of your Dad/ Grandpa's life I can possibly imagine. Bob and Kitty Hawkey adored both Don and Vi.
Jim and I continue to talk about them and his parents, especially at this time of year. Wishing you many continuing loving memories of your parents/grandparents.

Just found Don’s tribute. I should have known he would want to join Vi quickly. My Mum and Dad lived next door for many years and Vi and Don were a huge help to them as well as good friends. I feel fortunate to have known both Vi and Don and will be forever grateful for their presence in Esther and Fred’s lives. It was so heart warming to see both of their picture’s in their obituaries. They were happy and spread their cheer to everyone they met. So many beautiful memories.
I’ll miss you forever Grandpa. Life is much duller without you here. Till next time! ❤️

It is so sad for the family, he was the last Uncle on our fathers family, he was such a nice funny gentle man. Loved his antiques and history. I have a few items from him.
We shall miss him and Aunty Vi . Rest In Peace.

Vi.
We send our sincere condolences to the family. He will be so missed.
The memory I will always have of Uncle Don is when he and Aunty Vi sent a video of them singing Happy 90th Birthday to my mom. Uncle Don was bellowing out with his high pitched voice as Aunty Vi rolled her eyes in disbelief…
Uncle Don say HI to my Dad and thank you for the memories.
The man, the legend, my father, one who will be so greatly missed. It's not right you not being here, I miss your voice and just talking to you and listening to your stories (even though you may of repeated them 100 times previously :-D ) were always a joy to hear. Your life, your passions and what you accomplished in 90 years were amazing. You created a family that is loving, compassionate and fun, one who only took after you. So it's not a goodbye it's a see you later, tallyho, pip pip Dad and don't forget to Tabernacle Down up there. Get the crib board ready for me and no cheating in the after life would you please. Much much love from your favorite daughter #7 Denise,. xoxox Right On Dad. Give my love to mom, tell her I miss her so much.
