Obituary of Ella Seip

August 27, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta
Elfriede (Ella) Seip, beloved wife of Frank Seip, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the age of 98 years.
Ella was born in Tarutino, Romania, a German community. Displaced by WWII, she and her family finally settled in Calgary in 1950. Ella married the love of her life Frank in 1951 and became a homemaker after her daughter was born. She enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking for family and friends and traveling with Frank in retirement.
She will be most remembered for her generous and independent spirit that saw her through 98 years. Her favorite saying was, “it could be worse”.
Ella is survived by her daughter Brigitta McDonald and son-in-law Rick; niece Anita (David) Miranda; and sister-in-law Elsbeth Erdmann. Ella was predeceased by Frank and brother Edmund Erdmann.
Memorial Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Heritage, 1708, 16th Avenue N, across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary, AB) on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
