Obituary of Luisa Cosentino

Luisa Cosentino (nee Querini) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at the age of 95 years.

Luisa was born in Campolongo, Udine, Italy on August 8, 1927, the youngest of four along with her brother Rico and her sisters Eletta and Lucy. She married Egidio Cosentino in 1956 and together they immigrated to Canada and landed in Calgary, AB in 1958. Luisa enjoyed gardening, reading, travelling, and treasured spending time with family and friends. She loved animals and shared that love to many creatures over the years. Most recently to her beloved cat Pucci.

Luisa will be most remembered for her grace and her sharp wit. Her kindness, compassion, and humour made her a magnet to people.

Luisa is survived by her daughter Monica and her son-in-law, Craig from Okotoks, AB. Luisa was predeceased by her loving husband Egidio in 2020.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person, a recording of the service will be posted.
