Max Paczulla

Obituary of Max Alexander Paczulla

November 11, 1994 – Calgary, Alberta

September 1, 2022 – Gahcho Kué mine, Northwest Territories

We are heartbroken to announce that we lost our son, brother, and partner, tragically on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the age of 27 years.

We are grateful for the 27 years we had with Max. He was a ferocious reader, brilliant conversationalist and avid outdoorsman. Hard working and always earning his own way and that work ethic brought him to the NWT.  He was a red seal heavy duty mechanic but on his few days off he was known to be in the mountains biking, hunting, skiing, or camping.

He had an absolutely wicked sense of humour and was quick witted, leaving us in tears with laughter. In all seriousness, he was a thoughtful and considerate partner, son, brother and friend.  He was kind, generous, and didn’t hesitate to help or lend a hand. He was respected and loved by all who knew him.

Max is survived by his partner, Rebecca Brady, his mother Tracy Lenes of Calgary, his father Stefan Paczulla of Calgary; brothers, Ryan Paczulla (Layne Engel) of Saskatoon and Jake Paczulla of Calgary,  his sister Lauren Paczulla of Calgary.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Isabelle and Delmer Lenes, and Helga and Paul Paczulla.

Gone too soon.
