Kaylee Crowchild

Obituary of Kaylee Martha Dallas Crowchild

May 22, 1993 - Calgary, Alberta

September 20, 2022 - Kenora, Ontario

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the sudden passing of our daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Kaylee was a ball of energy and love. She held those that were dear to her close in her heart, especially her beloved children.

In 2016, she and her late common-law partner Jessy, welcomed their son, Royce to the world. He was the light of her life and above anything she loved him dearly. He brought life to her, and she would always come home to see him and show him how much he meant to her. Kaylee and Jessy added a daughter to their family, Mary Jenny in 2020. Both her children were loved unconditionally and were her reason to keep going in this life. Although she was limited on seeing them, she never went a day without thinking of them.

Tsuut’ina Nation is home, and she attended her education within the City of Calgary. She loved being around her friends and making sure everyone around her was happy. She had a charismatic personality and loved to make everyone laugh. Her energy for life radiated through her spirit and all her peers knew that she would make them feel welcomed and cared for. It was these years that she fondly remembered and talked about.

As a child, Kaylee loved to play with her siblings and always tried to encourage them to be strong and determined people. She looked up to her older siblings and admired how strong they were. She always knew she could count on them to be there for her and vice versa. She then became an older sister to four more brothers who she adored. She loved being their big sister and would always show them how much they meant to her. When she was a child, she loved making key chains and dancing to the spice girls. As a teenager, she grew to love hip hop music and she was always living an adventurous life meeting all kinds of new people. She was a social butterfly and a great friend.

Kaylee grew up in a loving home and always made sure to check in on her parents. She loved them endlessly and made sure she told them often. When she would return home for a visit, she was baby girl, and everyone knew that. She would enjoy time with her mom and eating her mom’s cooking. She would sit with her dad and share stories and show him music that she loved. Her parents were everything to her and the bond they shared was beautiful.

In the last years of her life, she adopted a mother by the name of Crystal Cardinal. It was there, where she knew she could go in time of need. She loved her and was so thankful for the strong relationship they had created. The family would like to thank Crystal for her love for Kaylee and for being there for her often.

Kaylee had a lot of friends whom she called family in the downtown core of Calgary. The family would like to acknowledge those that protected and cared for her over the years.
