Tim Etcheverry, beloved husband of Kristyna Etcheverry and loving father of Travis Etcheverry of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the age of 38 years.

Tim was born in North Battleford, SK on December 19, 1983. After high school, Tim moved to Saskatoon, SK to obtain his diploma in Chemical Technology. From there, Tim continued his education in Thunder Bay, ON where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Lakehead University. In 2006, he moved to Calgary, AB, and began his career. Tim was passionate about his work and was well-respected within his profession. Tim accomplished much throughout his life and was proud of the many projects that he oversaw. He was very successful in his career but always maintained a humble demeanor.

Tim met the love of his life, Kristy Smolek, in 2009 and married her in 2012. Tim and Kristy built a life together in Calgary where many friends became family. They welcomed their son Travis into their lives on October 17, 2016. Their home was filled with love and Tim and Kristy were truly partners in marriage and parenthood.

Tim enjoyed a variety of hobbies. Many of which involved the outdoors. He had a deep passion for fresh and saltwater fishing, hunting, hiking, snowboarding, and snowmobiling, to name a few. Tim was also a craftsman. He had a keen interest in working with wood. He enjoyed making and restoring furniture and had a real talent for it. He was dedicated, focused, and patient in every hobby he took an interest in. He enjoyed nature and many of the remarkable things that nature created.

Tim was a dedicated and loving father. He involved his son Travis in many of his interests and always spoke with excitement in his desire to share his love of the outdoors with him as he grows. Travis has many wonderful memories of his father that will live on through Tim’s brothers' and friends’ involvement in Travis’ life.
