Condolences
I had not known Dan for a long time but it was quality time. As we got to know each other, he spoke many times of his love for his family. My sincere, deepest condolences to all of his family and many friends.
Dan and I went to our favourite park every moment we could. We walked the paths hand-in-hand. Please walk with someone in memory of Dan. We shared many laughs but one time in particular, we were both laughing so hard that a complete stranger came up to us and said “How wonderful it was to hear our laughter. The world needs more of that.” Please laugh in memory of Dan. We played old tunes off my phone. Dan asked me to dance and we danced like nobody was watching. Please dance in memory of Dan. Every evening we would sit at our favourite memorial bench with a plaque that said “Give someone a hug today” and we hugged and watched the sunset together. Please give someone a hug in memory of Dan.
We healed each other and we became whole together. For that I will be forever grateful. Every time I look at a sunset I know I will feel Dan smiling upon me and will remember all we shared. I was so blessed to have had him in my life. Rest in peace my dear handsome Dan. You will always be in my heart.
