Obituary of Carolyn Jean Withrow

July 29, 1963 – Edmonton, Alberta

September 28, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Carolyn Withrow of Airdrie, AB passed away peacefully on September 28, 2022, at the Foothills Hospital at the age of 59 years with her immediate family by her side leaving all in shock and in disbelief.  A dynamic, vibrant woman has left us, leaving many cherished memories in our hearts.

Carolyn started her career in the rent to own furniture business in the mid 80’s taking time off from her career to be at home with her boys before they started school. She worked with two other companies in the same field who amalgamated to become the company of Easy Home in 2003. Through those years to present she was a very dedicated employee in the positions of Store Manager and Regional Manager. She was well respected for the training and mentoring of her staff and ongoing relationships with her peers of the goeasy family.  Over the years she received numerous awards for her achievements with wall plaques and desktop accolades covering two walls of her office. Carolyn continually qualified for the President’s Trip for being a top achiever of goeasy.

Carolyn was a hands-on mom and took great pride in her sons.  She enjoyed going to their soccer and basketball games, being their biggest cheerleader.  She always encouraged them to be the very best they could be.  She was elated to become a grandmother and always looked forward to her time with Everly and Autumn.

Carolyn was a funny lady and enjoyed the laughter she brought to people. She loved her tropical vacations, rewarded by her company, always inviting a close friend to join her, enjoying the laughter and comradery of her peers and executives of goeasy home and financial.  She loved to go camping, enjoyed a night at the casino and above all else the special times she had with family and friends.

All who knew her will remember her for her love of people, her infectious laugh, and her enjoyment of a glass of red ice

Carolyn will always be with us through the memories she has given us.

Carolyn is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Jordan Withrow, Nathan Withrow and Dominique; two granddaughters Everly and Autumn; mother Lucille Graefer, also survived by many uncles and aunts, cousins, her adopted brother and sister, Kevin and Sherry.  She will be greatly missed by all including her pet dog Winston

Carolyn was predeceased by her father Ralph Graefer, brother Wayne Graefer, grandparents Adolph and Edna Graefer and grandmother Ann Murray
