Obituary of Paul Trendiak

October 4, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta
Paul Trendiak of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the Agape Hospice in Calgary, at the age of 89 years.
Paul was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on July 12, 1933. Paul married the love of his life Eleanor in Winnipeg in 1957, and together they raised four children, in Thunder Bay, ON. They were married for just two months short of their 60th wedding anniversary, when Eleanor passed in 2017.
Paul worked for the CNR (Canadian National Railway) for 38 years, along the side of his two brothers Walter, and Peter. In retirement he continued to stay busy doing small construction jobs for family and friends.
Paul and Eleanor served faithfully at their church in Thunder Bay at Fort William Baptist for 43 years. In 2016 they moved to Calgary and there they attended and were again involved in service, at Foothills Alliance Church. Paul continued to serve in Seniors Ministry and organized the “Games Café” weekly.
Paul is survived by four children, Linda (Dean) of Calgary, James (Cheryl) of Fort Frances ON, Doug (Ruth) of Collina, NB and Lori (Andy) of Calgary; his ten grandsons, Caleb, Jared, Ethan, Elijah, Matthew, Joshua, Rob, Murray, William and David; his granddaughter Sara; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Paul is also survived by sisters-in-law Irene Trendiak and Doreen Postmituk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Paul was predeceased by his wife Eleanor, his parents, Michael and Nellie Trendiak; his brothers Walter and Peter; and by his sisters, Tilley and Florence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Foothills Alliance Church (333 Edgepark Boulevard N.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Trendiak’s service streamed live (http://livestream.com/accounts/4034818/events/10640536) on the day of the service.
